Our Team

Dr. Black was born in Grand Junction Colorado and is the 4th of 7 children. His father is a retired Army Colonel (WWII Veteran), and a civil engineer. His mother is a retired school teacher. In high school, Dr. Black enjoyed art and wrestling. He received his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University. He married his childhood sweetheart and took his first job with Diamond Shamrock as a co-op chemical engineer. He completed his pre-dental curriculum at the University of Houston. He graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1981. While at Baylor, he was honored for being the outstanding student in his class.

Native to Waller County, Susan has worked for Dr. Black since 1988. She graduated from Wharton County Junior College with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in 1991 and then went on to become a Registered Dental Hygenist. She enjoys riding horses and spending time with her son.

Born in northwest Houston, raised in Cypress, Pam now resides in Waller. While working as a dental assistant, she obtained an Associates Degree in Applied Science in 1989 from Wharton County Junior College and then graduated from Dental Hygiene School in 1990. She has worked for Dr. Black since 1994. She enjoys fishing, hunting and being with her two children, Whitney and Garrett. 

Born in Taylor, Texas, Sheila moved to the coast while in the 6th grade. She graduated from LaPorte High School in 1970 and 7 years later, she entered the dental field. She has worked with Dr. Black since 1987. She currently resides in Waller County. Sheila enjoys camping, deer hunting, working with cattle and being with her family. 

Sharron joined Dr. Black's office in April of 2007. She has worked in the dental field since 1974. Orthodontics is her field of expertise and she has a special interest in all the orthodontic patients. Outside the office, her passion is horses. She owns three Arabians and one Welsh Cob. She participates in horse shows and rides dressage. Sharron also loves to build, and she personally built her own covered front and back porches on her home. With her effervescent personality, she keeps us all smiling. 

Shelly is a native of Hempstead. She has 18+ years experience in the dental profession. She began working for Dr. Black in 2006. Her hobbies include antiquing, faux painting, gardening and spending time with her son fishing and hunting. 

Donna was born and raised in New England and currently resides in Waller County, TX. She attended college at Austin Community College and Southwest Texas State University. She brings to Dr. Black's office over 25 years experience in LAN Administration, legal, insurance and accounting office management. She enjoys family, grandchildren, genealogy, horses, reading, gardening, and cooking.

Coralia grew up in Houston. She and her family live in Hempstead. Coralia has extensive cross-training in Dr. Black's office and has worked as a dental assistant and front office administrator. She has expertise in computer technology and is bilingual. She enjoys reading, watching MMA (Mixed Martial Arts), having friends over and spending time with her husband and son. 

Eunice is a native Texan. She worked several years at Star of Hope Friendship Ranch before joining Dr. Black’s team in 1994. She is cross-trained to work in every position. Her hobbies are quilting, crocheting and she does a lot of camping with her husband. She is very active in her church and the community. Eunice enjoys her 9 grandchildren. She would like to retire, but Dr. Black and his team would miss her too much.

Kelly, though born in Houston, grew up in Cypress and currently resides in Brenham, TX. Kelly has worked with Dr. Black since 1999 and has 15+ years experience in the dental profession. Although she works in the front office, she is a certified dental assistant. Kelly has 2 children whom she adores. She enjoys collecting antiques, gardening and spending time with her family. 

Suzanne grew up in Utopia, TX, but currently lives in Hempstead. She has been married for over 20 years and has 2 daughters. She brings to Dr. Black's office 10 years of office experience. Suzanne enjoys baking, traveling, visiting with friends and doing things with her family. 

Terri Jarvis attended Utah Valley State College where she graduated as a certified dental assistant. Later, she trained under Dr. Gordon Christensen to be a dental lab technician. Terri has extensive training and expertise in the usage of cad-cam imaging. She has specialized in all procelain restorations which include E-max, Zirconium and Procera crowns. She has been working for Dr. Black for over 20 years. Terri's hobbies are sewing and reading, and her passion is her children and grandchildren. 

Flossy, the team mascot, is enthusiastic and spirited in her role. She adds energy to Dr. Black's team. Flossy promotes maintaining healthy teeth through regular brushing and flossing. To see an enthusiastic cheer that Flossy taught the front office staff, click on the picture below.
