CEREC is an innovative technology used to restore damaged teeth in a single visit. CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration in Esthetic Ceramics and is a high tech computer and milling machine used to manufacture tooth restorations, like crowns, inlays, onlays and veneers. Without the use of the CEREC machine, these restorations would have to be made in a dental lab and the patient would have to make an additional visit to our office. Chairside means the dentist can provide the treatment (crown, veneer, etc.) in one visit. Ceramic refers to the final product - a nonmetallic restoration which is bonded to the existing or remaining tooth structure. As such, CEREC restorations are extremely durable and natural looking.
